Saks High School Senior Maxwell Cupp has known for most of his life that he wanted to be a firefighter. His father, Curtis, is a battalion chief at Oxford Fire Department. Max says he spent a lot of time at the fire department with his dad, who began his career at the Anniston Fire Department in 1999 before moving on to Oxford in 2008.

Noble Street Festival and Sunny King Criterium
Downtown Historic District
The annual, family-friendly Noble Street Festival is held in conjunction with the Sunny King Criterium, a cycling road race that starts in the morning and continues through the evening. Food and craft vendors, carnival games and rides, and live music are highlights of the festival. Please note that portions of the historic district will be closed to traffic.
