PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT MEETING
FREEDOM RIDERS NATIONAL MONUMENT INFRASTRUCTURE NEEDS ASSESSMENT
Thursday, June 13, 2019, 6:00 – 8:30, Anniston City Hall
We cordially invite you to our Public Involvement Meeting for the Freedom Riders National Monument Infrastructure Needs Assessment. Development of the Freedom Riders National Monument must address access of the transportation challenges created by the geographic separation of the historic Greyhound Bus Station from the Freedom Riders Park site, as well as the infrastructure necessary to support the historic tourism at nearby historic civil rights sites along the Anniston Civil Rights Trail.
A short presentation will be given at 6:00 p.m. and repeated at 7:30 p.m., followed by opportunities for questions and answers with consulting team members.
This is an opportunity for residents, business owners and others to provide input in general development of needs and opportunities associated with the project.
